Many problems in Genomics can be cast as a perfectly parallelizable pattern matching task.

In one typical example, a company will have about 10,000 genomics data files at about 25MB each. They will have a candidate data file, and a custom repository of code to run to compare the candidate data file with each of the 10,000 data files. This job can be mapped onto hundreds or thousands of instances all running in parallel, to get the job done in the budgeted time.

Because of our low cost per instance (about 1/2 the cost of Data Center instances), Neocortix can get the job done in the same time as other Cloud providers at about 1/2 the cost.
